Our 4 month old puppy is gaining weight every month, but is not filling out. His seems to be growing upwards. Is this normal as his seems very thin and you can see his ribs?. Buddy is on puppy pedigree tinned food and we are giving him the correct amount and until recently we have also been adding a small amount of Harrington's puppy biscuits on the advice of the vet.

Is he a Bench aka English or Field aka American style dog. Field type dogs are taller and thinner by design. Cooper is 24" at the withers and 75#

Our Lincoln is tall and lanky. At 7 months old he's 22inches at the shoulder and 40pounds.

Normal. They don' start filling out until they are about 10 to 12 months of age. If you can see his rib when he is standing straight, then you need to increase his intake of food.
