    hey all!
New puppy owner here (10 1/2 week old fox red lab named Miller). I have a cat also and am usually very good at keeping him out of the litter box but this morning he got crafty and decided to grab a "snack". has anyone else ever encountered this? I don't think he had much, maybe a mouthful or 2. My cat went to the vet 3 weeks ago and is up to date on all of his shots and totally healthy, and from what I've seen online, cat litter isn't really toxic to dogs unless eaten in mass quantities. I am somewhat of a helicopter parent...should I take him to the vet anyway?? or just keep an eye on him for the next couple hours?? any thoughts would be appreciated! thanks!

Yum yum! Says Coco. (and Meg who now copies him!) I just keep him up to date on his wormer - and retch when he snaffles down a tasty cat-cigar.

Yep very tasty to our labs. Thus begins your battle... Given the chance they will scarf a kitty treat whenever they can I think. So yucky but as long as you regularly see the vet and do all your shots and worming you should be fine. But if a phone call to the vet calms you go ahead.

I have the litter box in a room with a door chain that is only 6 inches. Cats can get in but dogs are too big. Was easier to add chain than cut a hole in the door.

At my daughters I re-purposes an old dresser into a litter box holder. Added ventilation and a small cat door on the side. Looks nice in her small place and the dog can't get to it.

    Enjoy your babies!
