good morning, I have a five month old lab who is currently teething but also excessively drooling so much so that his neck is wet. He hasn’t been throwing up and has normal bowel movements. I will take him to the vet if the persists but I live in a small Northern oil town. For his second shots it was $300.00 for his neutering it is costing me $900.00. My last dog was throwing up took him in was there for an hour and the bill was $1500. They wanted to do emergency surgery which was $3000.00 said no took him home and he was fine. So for me I just want to make sure before I spend my life savings on something that could be normal.
Hi Karin, We have some information on the reasons dogs drool in this article, which might be of interest. I'm afraid though that if I were you and my dog was doing something new that could be indicative of a medical issue, I'd pop down the vet to get him checked over Hopefully it won't cost you too much this time! Do let us know how he gets along!
Thank you! I ended up taking him to the vet he has an hot spot and glands severely infected . Right now he has been put under and they are shaving his neck and assessing. So far we are at 1200.00 but it’s all worth it in the end. Hopefully these hot spots are not reoccurring.
