Hi My 2 year old labrador has always slept through the night but recently has started waking at 2 or 3 am to go outside for a poo? She used to go before we went to bed but now will just have a wee about 9 pm and then we would go to bed. Her food was changed about 2 months ago to ava weight management food but she has only just started doing this. Do i need to take her out again later as i normally go to sleep at 10 pm as so tired by then? Its frustrating as my 7 month puppy sleeps through.
The weight management food most likely has more fiber (to satisfy hunger) so that will make her have to poop more. Try giving her evening meal a bit later.
