My Willow is 5 months old and looks like she has a coloured discharge.
She is not swollen yet and other dogs are not showing an interest.
I know it takes 3 weeks to really show.
I thought this was a bit early.
She is not feverish or off her food so I am watching for any sign of pymetra.
Should I take her to vet.
She just looks a bit dirty down there nothing is coming away she is not cleaning herself either.

I don't know much about it but 5 months does sound a bit early. Maybe just call the Vet first and see what they think.

My Spaniel died of pymetra at 10rys as she had heart failure and couldn't be operated on.

5 months would be early, but not unheard of. Pop a white sheet on her bed, you may be able to see the colour of the discharge better on the white sheet? I think I would be putting a call through to the vets before Wednesday to be on the safe side.

The discharge is only slight I used a tissue and there was a tiny dicolouration on it.
Not sure it could be an infection so taking her to vets tomorrow.

Went back to the vet for follow up exam she is no longer on antibiotics the vet said it's juvenile viginitis and is common and should clear up when she comes into season.
Willow lifts her leg to male dogs giving them easy access they also seem interested in her.
