Hello, new addition here, and we don't have the most reliable vet care-so I was wondering about a sudden drooling issue. There is no pattern, no food involved, not before meal time, just two of the times we did notice it after coming in from our walk. Molly will lick her chops rapidly and swallow and after that she will have drool just dripping out of her jowls. I have checked her teeth, gums, and nothing. I have checked her entire face, roof of mouth, tongue, and there is no odor or color to it. Anyone have advice for us please?

Hi Molly’s Mom. My last Golden Retreiver started drooling, and like you I could find nothing obvious. In Sammy’s case it was a cracked tooth that the vet found during a dental cleaning.

    Good luck with Molly.

Possibly she is licking/touching something when out walking that she is allergic/sensitive too?

Thank you, never considered that one.
