Is it common to have a litter of black Lab puppies when mom is a chocolate lab and dad is a yellow lab? Mom just had 7 pure black lab puppies this morning. Is it likely that any of them will turn chocolate color?
I don't know much about the Color Genetics, but if the Pups are truly Black, they won't change to Chocolate. Tilly was a very Dark Chocolate Lab (Think Espresso) but she was definitely Chocolate, not Black.
