    Hi @mario

It could be the case that the attack from the GSD has created a problem. But it's more likely that that experience would be localised to dogs that look like GSD. If he is transferring it to all gundogs, then there is probably an issue that he experienced that you didn't notice that has been festering.

I take it that when he is working there is distance between your dog and the other dogs.

I would try Behavior Adjustment Training (BAT). The book to read is called BAT 2.0 and it is written by Grisha Stewart. Alternatively find a trainer who has some experience in BAT training.

I have a similar problem with my 2 year old male flatcoated Retriever. Loves people and dogs he knows but wary of strange male dogs. Loves to work, but in training and off lead which is sometimes necessary, he will suddenly launch himself at the next dog - no biting just a lots of noise. Obviously people don't like it! I only do positive training so I have had some help and advised to use a ball as his' security blanket'. Works well on a walk but more difficult in a training situation. Thanks for the advice about the book. I will try and get hold of it. Can anyone offer any other advice?
