Our yellow lab doesn’t have a shed season, it’s all year! That’s what we were told but didn’t believe there would be this much. They say more in the spring and fall but I am curious as to what Months people on this board tend to notice the start and finish of the twice a year molt? Also, any tips? We furminate, we pin brush, we roomba, we stiffer, we use deshedding shampoo every couple of weeks, but the yellow fur is just all over the place and our clothes! Does a furminator just cause a vicious cycle of more fur or does it really work? What can be done to get the absolute most fur out of our big guy? Any brushing tips? Thanks for the help and suggestions!
Labs only shed 2x per year, each time is for 6 months. Actually Cooper and Tilly have slowed down right now, but Cooper will probably go back to raising dust bunnies next month.
I have a pair of plastic grooming gloves from Amazon I took Willow in the garden. They are really good and got rid of alot of loose hairs.
Quick question on shedding. I have forgotten when it starts, is it 6 months or a whole year??...still enjoying the puppy stage of no shedding right now
