Just an interesting observation. If we step in dog poo, it sticks to our shoes. If a Lab steps in dog poo, it usually does not stick. It is quite common for Cooper to step in poo, when she runs and leaps off our lower deck. Tilly being old, doesn't go any further than she has too to do her business, so it is often in the path off the deck. Cooper normally races off the deck like she is chasing the devil, and often steps in the only poo in the area, but it almost always just leaves a paw print in it. We need to figure out why it works, and make shoe soles work the same way. Most of the year it is easy to find the poo and clean it up, but in the fall when the ground is covered with leaves, it is often camouflaged so finding all of it is not so easy.
Haha! Had to think about this and check it out. Gals at dog park agree. Doesn't stick to dog pads. We will include you on royalties when we figure out the shoe thing. And as for picking up dog poo... The only thing I like about snow is the poo is easy to find.
I guess because I live in the country, the concept of picking up after our animals is foreign to me. I wouldn't want to do it. If I lived in a city I'd be in trouble because I enforced the law for 30 years, and can't make myself break it, so if the law said I had to pick it up, I'd do it. Fortunately we don't, and have the freedom for our animals to go where they want, and it fertilizes the grass.
I pick it up in our yard, so I won't step in it later. I pick it up on the street or other peoples yards, because it is the right thing to do.
