We collected our 9 week old puppy from the breeder last friday. So far he has been very good. I just have one concern and that he is (alongside the rest of his litter) very small weighing in at 5.5kg. All my labrador pup have been big and chunky.

Is this something i should be concerned about? He is KC registered with a five generation pedigree. Parents health checks including hips
Has anyone else had a tiny pup.

    Thanks

    Lisa

Cooper was only 10.5# at 9 weeks (4.8 kg) but she was gaining about a 1/2 lb per day. She ended up around 80 # and over 24" at the withers.

Harry was 4.7kg (10lbs 5oz) at eight weeks and when the vet weighed him last Friday at twelve weeks, he was 8.4kg (18.5 lbs ) she was very happy with his progress.

Yes he is. He is absolutely gorgeous, has a lovely little character. He is getting on well with my other 2 labs. It is just I have not had such a tiny puppy before. The other 2 were also from working lines. Lisa
