Hi everyone, I have tried where possible to stick to the 5 minute rule when it comes to walking Kyko, & was wondering at what age I can relax this a little? He's coming up to 11 months now & we try to stick to 50mins a day, occasionally we will go over slightly when he's at work with me and can't go out to the toilet off lead for safety reasons. We at the moment have to stick to a long line in the woods and fields & stuff as he's pretty selective with recall & will go wandering off with anyone (caught him about to go out the front door with a customer at work the other day). Do we have to include his time on the long line in his 50 mins? & can I start to go further soon, as all the good places are generally about a half hours walk away, when I would then put him on the long line

We started to relax the 5 minute rule with Alfie at 1 yr. I believe gradual increase from there is still required.
