Day 2 of our puppy being home and he's puked 5 times today. The first time was at the vets before his first jag but the vet didn't seem concerned. He's on the same food that the breeder was giving him (watered down and left for 10 mins before feeding) and he eats it all up fine. He's still drinking water but not sure if he should be drinking more. He's done 3 poos in 2 days and they've all been normal. Does anyone know what the cause could be? We've been around him at all times and from what we are aware of he hasn't eaten any foreign objects or human food etc.
Hi @FoxRedLab Lots of reasons why a dog can be sick. dogs can vomit when stressed. There has been a huge upheaval in the dog's life. The long car journey and leaving home. Your dog can also vomit if he eats too much at one meal? The water is different from the water he was used to at the breeder? Just keep an eye on your charge--that he is not getting dehydrated. Perhaps increase the number of meal times without changing the appropriate overall daily intake--ie reduce the size of each specific meal but have more often.
