My female lab is 12 moments and has in the last few weeks started barking when a stranger approaches her , goes to put there hand out etc to stroke her. Barking quite loud/ aggressively.

Doesn’t matter if stranger is male/female/child and with or without a dog. It doesn’t seem to occur when she’s off the lead though .

She was fully socialised as a puppy and was great with people before - but suddenly now very nervous . Could it be related to her coming into her first season ( not yet occurred) or could it be something else?
Do we tell her “no” ( not working at present) or try teaching get a word like “friend” and crouching down to stroke and reassure her ? ( she still barks .... but stops after a long while).,,,,
    Thanks

    Hi @Jo johanson
Search the site for the LAT folder. There is an excellent teaching video therein of how to teach your dog the exercise.
