    Hey
If this is in the wrong section, I apologise.
Hunter is 9.5 years old and he has hip and elbow dysplasia, we are trying to conservatively manage his conditions through hydrotherapy and acupuncture, however, he recently had another consultation with an orthopaedic specialist who advised he is a candidate for a total hip replacement. I know the risks involved with such a dramatic procedure but I just wondered if anyone here has a lab who has had a THR?
    Any advice greatly appreciated

I don't know much about them in dogs, but they are so routine in people that most folks don't worry much about having them (I have two partial hips from different bike wrecks, one in my late 60s and one in mid 70s) I guess I would talk to the vet a good bit about the recovery and rehab time. For people they really work well with almost no side effects and a pretty short recovery.
