    Hello,
My 4 year old lab LOVES to swim. He sits on the stairs if our pool every chance he gets. His hair is very thin on his legs and front of his shoulders. Vet checked skin and all looks good just thinning from swimming. Looking for suggestions for shampoos/ conditioner in order to help. Any suggestions?
    Thanks so much.

Mine's obsessed with water too and I posted a question just yesterday on the subject. we swim in fresh water or the sea so we don't have chlorine to worry about. I'm thinking rather than a shampoo maybe just a fresh water rinse would do the job in your case.

If you use a shampoo, you will only strip out the natural oils and make the coat worse. If anything, just rinse out with plain water after he has swum...

    Just a suggestion,

I had my chap go to 1-2-1 lessons in a hydrotherapy pool, apparently in pools they use a different chlorine/substitute as what is used in our pools is not as ideal as it could be.

He would go twice a week & I had no issue apart from dryness, anyway, I found some stuff called ‘Puppy Fresh’ which is intended for its lovely scent, however it is ph balanced & a spray on conditioner!

I use it all the time & it seems to keep things as they should be!

I’m not sure how to upload pics here but it’s made by a company called ‘animology’ & called Puppy Fresh. ‘Built in conditioner, Deodorising, Pro-vitamin V5, 100% Vegan, sulphate free, Paraben free, silicone free.

    Hope that helps.

    Stu.
