So, I've found that crate training is horrible (for me) and I just lest the pup sleep in my bed at my feet. She (we both) get a solid six to seven hours of sleep and when she gets up, we zip outside for a pee... Now, I'm heading back to work this week and I'm going to have to put her in her pen (I've safeguarded my whole downstairs kitchen for her with a baby gate) We tested it yesterday and she goes NUTS!! I'm going to try it again today for a couple of hours but this time with a Kong filled with raw meat. Hopefully this works out better. My question: Is night crating her, then day penning her too much? It just seems like she's constantly behind bars. Although, her day pen is almost 150sqr ft. Am I being a mean dad? Should I forego the night crating?
