Hi, my sweetheart a 10 yr old lab seems to urinate often when outside. She has never had an accident in the house since she was a puppy. We live on a 20-acre farm but will be moving soon into town. She has had the run of the farm but has never ventured out of sight of the house. We will be living in a townhouse with no fenced yard. I work part-time and will have to leave her alone for periods of up to 5 hours. I would think I need to confine her to a room such as the kitchen. This will be difficult for her because she is used to going everywhere with me. I also worry about her soiling the room as she has had a couple of urinary tract infections. I have her on cranberry tabs which seems to have helped her a lot. Is there some kind of floor matting and techniques I can use to make this as comfortable for her as I can? Advice? Thanks.

How often is 'often'? It sounds like she still might have a UTI to me. Have you had her urine tested recently by a vet?

Do you mean urinate often as in marking. Cooper pees many times on a walk, but she is just leaving her pee mail.
