Hello out there am new and this is my first Post.I have a 4 year old yellow lab I call him Maximus Max for short I have been dealing with allergies with him from about a year in half it seems that when they come on I take him to the Vet and he gets a shot and his good for while its mostly around his eyes.I started gine him dinovite and went pretty good,so I work him 4 days a week and just let him run the rest of the week.I was taking him in early ages to a dog park and it seemed he broke out with in a month everytime so i stop taking him there to run i found a new place to work him and let him run the problem went away Recently I had a stroke ad he didn't get to much exercise so am doing good enough to start small workouts with him the whole time I was down didn't have any problems with eyes itching now it's back. The vet I have been taking him to am starting to lose faith in. I know some one go tell me change vets am a fixed income and it's putting a big dent in the pocket book.I have had 4 labs before this Boy and nothing like ever happened like this is there anything I can do for him with out a Vet I started giving him Benadryl and its seems to be working a little.4 different vets now in two years thank you

We give our lab two benadryl at bedtime. Other times we don't as it makes them drowsy. If he can tolerate it, I'd like to give him a generic Zyrtec, as he has bad allergies. It is called certizine, and you can buy it at Sam's and other places. It isn't that expensive, I take it myself as I have bad allergies too.
