    Hello, everyone.
It looks like our 14 week old puppy is allergic to Natures Menu. When we first got her she was on an adult version of NM. As she was only 10 weeks old and after I contacted NM direct we put her on the puppy formula. Ever since then her poo has not been good. As she has been on treats and with the transition it has taken us to now to work out this is what is giving her runny poos. She has been on chicken and rice for the last week and only chicken pieces as treats. We have also been walking her in the garden on a lead so she can't eat any dirt or cat poop. Her poos have been excellent and it's been an amazing improvement. Last night I put two nuggets back into her food and this morning her poo has not been great.
She did have a bout of vomiting but that was during the hot weather and of course we've taken her to the vets. She has been given the once over and is in good heath.....it is also worth noting she doesn't seem to be in any distress but was lathargic (but again that could have been down to the hot weather)

Has anyone else experienced this and also can anyone recommend a good quality puppy food?
    Thank you all.
    Linda

I didn't have my dog as a puppy so I'm not speaking from experience, however, if I did have a puppy now I probably wouldn't choose nature's menu. I assume you are feeding the frozen nuggets that contain rice and chicken, either of which might be disagreeing with your dog, the rice in particular I would want to avoid and chicken is a common allergen.
My understanding is that raw puppy food is a marketing ploy differing only in texture from adult formulas. I use Naturaw if I'm buying commercial raw for my adult dog (mostly I DIY though) - they do a puppy mince but if you only feed one type of mince you are missing out on the variety which is so important.

Nutriment do a well balanced complete raw puppy food that I'd highly recommend.

Unfortunatley I can't afford to feed Nutriment to all the adult dogs. I certainly would if I only had a few, but I have 7 at the moment. I do think that it's the best though, and growing and developing puppies need the best.
