My husband and I brought home two lab puppies on Friday, they are 8 week old. I love them so much, but as you can imagine, they are a handful.

Anyone else out there have two puppies? I will take advice happily (beyond "return them.:) :)

Welcome the forum! You've certainly got your hands full there, but as long as you are very well organized it can be done successfully :) The key with two puppies at once is to make sure they each get lots of individual time with you, and away from each other, especially for training and bonding with their human family. Best of luck, and let us know how you get along!

Thank you, Lucy, and for the article! Very helpful and we are committed to working with them separately. It's scary but we can do this.

We have our own puppy, Harry but also look after his brother, Loki, every weekday whilst his owners (my son and family) are at work/school. Both pups are now five months old. We're experienced dog owners but always with one dog at a time so it's been a learning curve!
I'd echo what Lucy said - lots of time apart and train them individually or else they get too distracted by one another. Ours are as different as chalk and cheese temperament wise. Harry is very laid back and calm whereas Loki is quite nervous and needs a lot of reassurance.
They're both gorgeous pups though and are a lot of fun. Good luck and enjoy them both!
