Hey everyone! New here and a new Lab owner.
I've been doing tons of research on labs and it can become confusing. I figured it would be best to ask the more experienced lab owners what kind of Lab do I have? I know he has chocolate in him, I don't know what his parents looked like. We adopted him from someone who couldn't care for him anymore (they got him for their young child) and he's about 14 weeks. Any kind of tips, helpful information and lab type would help, as I read that there's some temperament differences between American working and English show.
Thanks ahead of time, it's truly appreciated!

The person you got him from will have the breeders details. As he is only 14 weeks old, I'm sure that the breeder will want to know that the puppy has been moved on, and they will be able to give you all the details regarding his breeding, health testing etc.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum. Do you have the papers/pedigree document for your puppy? If so, we might be able to tell you what sort of lines he came from.

I'm trying to figure this part out. As the previous owner we adopted from only gave us get papers. I asked her about the breeder and the pups parents and she was only able to tell me the location.

This sounds really odd. They had the puppy for 6 weeks but didn't have the contact details of where they got him from?

Yes. She wouldn't directly answer me when I asked for the breeders contact details. And I mean vet not get. Yes, very odd. That's fine though, he's a great boy!

We have had only one AKC lab. All came from shelters, except one from an individual that was moving and could not keep him. They are all wonderful.
