My lab has been given a host of nicknames since we got him 4 years ago and I was wondering if anyone else has some they call their dogs. With Lucius he was called Mr Puppyman when he was small by my mother and I used to call him smoosh due to his squishy puppy face :) he went to daycare at 4 months old and was quickly given the name "special" or special needs by the staff whenever he did something outrageous like running into a fence or being his clumsy self. :) we've I've been calling him moosh or lucimoosh recently and my parents have been calling him a grumpy old man (he's 4 but acts like he's 10 :D) our beagle gets called all the names under the sun when he's naughty, I call him trouble since that's what he does most days but parents call him pupsy (his name is pup) or dudes or sometimes pupsydudes :D any one else have nicknames for their furry friends?

Tilly was often Till, and occasionally Chief Crazy Dog.
Cooper is often shortened to Coop, and some times lengthened to Super Cooper (at 80# she could never be Mini Cooper).

I have about 3 nicknames for my Lab... None of which have anything to do with his actual name, but seem to suit him and so I can't help but use them. As long as I only use his proper name for training and import stuff, I figure it can't be too bad a thing :D It's the same with my cat though, so I guess I just like nicknames.

All have great names, a few were named when we got them. We changed one lab's name as it sounded so ridiculous. A couple have had nicknames, but we mostly use their given names.

Toby gets called lots of things but when he grew really fast be became Tonythepony after a miniature pony we saw on holiday. After his ear removal I asked for family suggestions for a nice nickname. My son came up with
Tobyoneloby which I thought was quite clever.

Ha....yes all the time....our lovely old Lab Jake actually also answered to Cheesy.....as we used it so much....not quite sure where it came from but it evolved over time....
I’m finding myself already calling our new 12 week old pup Arnie....Arnie Bananie....and I have to stop myself as he’s only just learnt Arnie....
We also watch a lot of football and all the footballers names turn into daft dog names....ie. Harry Kane becomes Hairy Pain and used whenever our dog is being a pain in the bum...

Loons, Loopy Luna, Loony (by the trainer), Lunatic (by a different trainer) Luna Buna, Poppet, Gorgeous-girl, Clever Stick, Pup Pup.....

Luna is 17 weeks and we call her - Lulu, Bubba, Boo, Princess and Gorgeous Girl.
I do love how when we say her actual name now she looks up at us.

I have a terrible habit of creating all sorts of names for our pets including horses and our human kid.

Ziggy at just 6 months of age is also a Lardo Lad, Floofy, Squishy and Dufus.
Jet gets Jettington, Ting (this is his favourite) Tingo, Doggo, Black Dog, Tington, Woofo Doggo.
