    Hi,

Lucius has had a lump on his paw for a while (ever since he was 8 months old) we took him to the vet when we first noticed it and the vet wasnt worried, he said it was probably a splinter and it would go away. Fast forward to when we changed vets when he was 1 year old and the lump was still there, again the next vet wasnt bothered by it, they didnt even want to look at it! Now we've changed vets again and we're bringing him in for an x ray on his hips and we were going to ask them to check the lump on his paw (he's 4 now so hes had it 3 years) but the lump has started to crack along the side and he's now limping on it.

    Here's a picture.

Any ideas on what it could be?

    Thanks!

Hmm, it's a bit out of focus - is it the thing between your fingers, at the base of the dew claw? I think it's best for the vet to check it out under sedation, especially if he's having an x-ray anyway - they can do it at the same time. They can take a biopsy if needed...

Its the toe above it, sorry for the bad picture, the toe's paw pad looks misshapen and quite sore. The vet had a look at it today and said he wasnt too worried about it, but we were there for something else entirely.
