    Hey everyone :)

Cooper had his second vaccination today so another week and we can start getting out and about hurray!

I've found a safe completely enclosed field that we can pay to visit - do you think this would be a good first place to visit? He can have a good old sniff around with our other dog.

Or am I best to get straight into lead walking/training?

Thank you for any ideas :)

You can do both, on the same day!

But you don't want to be waiting to take your puppy out - he should be getting out the house on a daily basis with you already to visit things - being carried or in a shoulder bag before vaccinations are finished. As long as he doesn't touch the ground in a public place where other dogs may have toileted, the risks are really minimal and the benefits are huge.

Oh gosh I'm so sorry I forgot to check back to see whether there were any replies - thanks so much for this.

Yes we've been going out with him in the car, to the pet shop, meeting friends, just making sure not to place him on the ground.

Tomorrow we're going out for the first time :D

Thanks again for your reply :)
