    Hi all,
I have just had confirmation that my very first lab has been reserved for me! I am so excited but also nervous about getting it right. As such I am trying to do as much research as possible before my new puppy comes home.

I have been looking at harnesses online, but there are so many to choose from it’s a bit overwhelming!

What would people recommend for a black lab puppy?

    Thanks in advance,

    Sian

The first harness we got (in the picture) broke. This was highly reviewed for a puppy harness and glad it broke when we were inside.

We now have a t-bar padded harness and it is fantastic! (cannot remember the make, I will check when I go home tonight) She is secure and comfy. The lead clip is quite far down her back so she isn't able to bite it etc as it doesn't pass her face. She has transitioned amazingly between the two and she sits perfectly when putting it on her now.

We are also getting a new black lab puppy soon (2 more weeks). I am also trying to find a good harness. I want to keep it on the puppy all the time so we can easily put the leash on and get him outside to go potty, without having to worry about putting a harness on. I dont think leashes attached to normal collars are a good idea. The harness choices are endless! The one we have for our older lab loosens up and she could chew it if she wanted. She doesn't chew it, but a puppy definitely would. (My 3 year old lab does not have the harness on 24/7 - only when we go out).

Anyway, I am going to also watch this thread for harness ideas.

    Hi all

I think I’m going to get one of those Julius K9 harnesses, I see a lot of dogs with them and they seem good.

I am thinking of the Julius K9 when Luna is fully grown. In the meantime we have a Trixie Harness that is really padded.

I used to have a retractable harness so that my dog won't feel hurt every time we go for a walk. When I pick-up Sky I used a pet carrier since I don't want him to feel uncomfortable on our way home.
