Just used the licki mat with just peanut butter and he’s absolutely loving it!!!!
Pies isn’t a fan of banana but the peanut butter is going down a hit!!

I honestly can’t believe how occupied it’s keeping him! Will for sure be using it often now! Thank you for the tip :)

It is a great distraction! Just make sure he has a drink when he finishes it as he will most definitely need it.

Shame about banana, does he like watermelon?

Be careful with the Licki mats as they get older. Once Toby’s adult teeth came in the only thing we can use is the black kong and a Licki mat under strict supervision. He tries to bite the bobbly bits off!
Had great success with a Licki mat at the vets. Toby hates being touched by strangers and after his castration I put the mat on top of the examining table for him to lick with his front paws on the table and the vet went underneath the table to look at his scar! She was so impressed she sent an email round to her colleagues suggesting they should buy some.

Oh he did need a drink haha bless him ! Peanut butter all over that cute little nose as well :)

    He does like watermelon!
I think the reason he didn’t like the licki Mat before is because it had banana and peanut butter on it so I guess he doesn’t like it but the peanut butter alone went down so well!

I’ve made him another one up and popped it in the freezer for later on :) as I hadn’t made any kongs up today so his 3rd meal allowance will have been made up by the licki mats :)

That’s fab! How amazing!!! Pies was busy with his licki mat so thought I’d pop his harness on whilst he was occupied and he let me do it so nicely! Usually he tries to bite the harness constantly! Last night was 15 mins of biting the harness with my partner..
Yes will most certainly make sure when his big teeth are here to keep watch.

Pies had 2 red kong, 1 blue kong and a black kong!
We used a toy we had got for him when he was 8 weeks that rolls around and let’s out food so it’s fun but we used it again the other whilst under supervision and my lord the bite marks in it! He’ll never be able to play alone with it because he’ll eat the whole thing!

I would absolutely love to keep one of his little teeth :)!
None gone so far but I keep checking!
Oh wow!!! Tiny 8 week old pup you had bless her! Growing and gaining weight well :)

Oh goodness I hope she’s ok now!! That must’ve been scary! I panic when I see pies with anything he shouldn’t have the little terror haha! No matter how much you puppy proof a house they’ll always find something we’ve missed haha!

I took pies to the vets Wednesday because I found a lump on his belly and really panicked!
The vet said it’s under the skin but not attached to anything as it moved so might be a spot of infection but we’ve been given some cream and she’s going to check on it next week when he has his 3rd jabs! The worst than through my head though!

I keep looking to catch one but still only 4 out. The front ones are so small so might need to wait for the bigger ones to fall out!

We have had to change our likimat as she started to bite the little bits off. There is loads of different ones tho. She is definitely getting stronger as more toys are now starting to show wear ...

She is full of life and being a little monkey again so must be better!
She was so tiny but is really healthy now and bigger than a lot of her siblings so happy with that.

We found a lump on her tail a few weeks ago and panicked, turned out to be a spot from possible an ingrown hair. It is still there however it can take a couple of months to go away apparently?!

I so nearly took the lickimat to the vet last night when I took Gwenni. I didn't but clicker and rewarded her when she interacted with the vet and allowed the vet to look at her- the previous time she was not going near the vet. I think I will take the lickimat next time to encourage happy thoughts when she is there next time as she did so well last night. Think I'm going to have to distract her by holding something to lick when I pop her eye drops in as she doesn't like it!

Oh no how come she’s got eye drops?
If you don’t mind me asking.

Pies absolutely loves the vets because she has given him treats every time he’s been so he sits on the table so nicely waiting for his treats haha! I suppose that’s a good thing!
But now after being able to put his harness on without a fuss whilst he uses the licki mat I would 100% take it to the vets if he started not to enjoy it!

Yes in reply to your other message I would love to catch one of the big teeth too if u could the little ones are so little it makes me chuckle hahah

I’m so glad she’s feeling better! Our pups give us such scares sometimes! I’ve never owned my own pup before and I’m such a nervous puppy mum haha! It’s so nice to talk to other puppy parents it really helps me :)

    Oh really?!
I didn’t know that could happen! I think as long as it’s not anything serious and doesn’t give them pain then it’s ok.
I hope pies lump goes away! It doesn’t hurt him and the skin isn’t damaged or pierced it’s really odd! But she did say it’s not routed so it’s a good sign!

Glad your little one loves the vets, Gwenni cried out at the vets so much once , she has a good memory! She has recently started to swim and retrieve a tennis ball. Think it’s from swimming in the sea ?
By the way we have 2 of Gwenni ‘s teeth, heard them drop onto kitchen floor!

How old is your gwenni? Wow amazing! I can’t wait until pies can have a go in water such as sea or river :)
Oh bless her!! I was expecting pies to dislike it too but I do thinks it’s the yummy treats he gets there! Hope her eye gets better!
    Oh my goodness amazing!
I have a shelf in the living room and it’s got his first 2 stones he gave us and his first stick hahah I would love to put his teeth on there when they start coming out :) so excited hah!

    Thank you.
Gwenni didn’t start swimming until around 7.5 months, she had a dip before that but didn’t enjoy. She’s 8 months now. She found and carried home her first tennis ball yesterday , she’s really chuffed with it !
