    Hello!!!
    Need some advice
11 month old Buddy started bitting and breaking the sprinklers system.
    He is an active dog
Daily walk off leash for an hour at 6:30 am
Daily walk on leash for an hour at 6:30 pm
He is home alone for eight hours Monday thru Friday.
He has a few chewing toys (deer antlers, huge bones, tire in a rope) I leave every morning a kong with frozen peanut butter inside and still goes to the sprinklers cant say that is everyday, but enough for it to be a problem. I have tried putting cayenne pepper on them, but I cant be putting every day....
My Buddy goes at the when they are off.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance

Despite lots of exercise, he’s probably bored at home. That’s one of the reasons they can get destructive. 8 hours for 5 days is a long time to be on his own. Could you mix up his days with some day care, a dog walker or sitter. Might break the cycle ?

I agree with @Edp 8 hours is a long time to leave a dog even with access to outside.
He is going for the sprinklers to amuse himself when he gets bored.

I don’t wish to be too negative but I still don’t think the sprinklers are the issue.
You said in your first post Buddy is an active dog he is also very intelligent.
He will have worked out that this is your morning routine and the way to get your attention before you leave him for a long time is to do this. It could be any other destructive behaviour that gets a reaction from you.
Can you not arrange for someone to come and exercise or play with him at least once during those 8 hours. His behaviour will only get worse once the novelty of the sprinklers have worn off and it is unfair on him to be home alone so long.
