    Hi everyone!

my 5 month puppy poppy is so cuddly, which I love as I always wanted a cuddly dog! She loves nothing more then sitting in my lap for cuddles or sleeping next to me in bed for cuddles in the evening !

I’m just wondering if anyone else had experience with this, will it continue into adulthood?? I really hope so as I love how snuggly she is with me haha. Thank you!

Ooh make the most of it! I can't answer your question I'm afraid as my girl is too excited to have cuddles, even now still at 19 months. She does like to lie on my feet though, which is nice

Aw ♥️ I’m really hoping she stays super cuddly! She is pretty calm inside (outside she’s crazy!) she just wants to lay and cuddle with you or play with her toys ! I’m hoping she stays that way as she seems to just get more cuddly the older she gets !!

Sounds like a dream ! Gwenni has been through a cuddly phase a stand offish phase , now she likes cuddles in the evening when she is tired girl which is lovely . Like Isla cuddles can be very exciting and can evolve into jumping on my head and out come her teeth , silly animal! Hoping she gets more cuddly as she gets older and calms down ... we will see!

Kyko's not massively cuddly he prefers to lie on the floor or on the end of the couch, but when he wants a cuddle will just come up front legs round your shoulders & give full on hugs. He also just walks up and gives random kisses when he feels like it. He will cuddle in bed on a morning though & sometimes when he really wants a cuddle will drape himself over your shoulders which was so cute when he was little not so much fun when a 31kg dog does it :D

My Spaniels were very cuddly and stayed that way all their lives.
Willow is 1 year old now and has never been a cuddly dog.
She will come in the afternoon and sit next to me on the sofa.
She likes to reverse into you and sit on your knee but that is normally because she wants something.

You're so lucky! My last dog lived for cuddles and affection, I miss her so much. This one leans in for a stroke when he's in the mood, which is definitely getting more frequent as he gets older, but mostly he's too busy to bother with cuddles.

Trying to cuddle Hugo is like cuddling a Piranha! However he is a ‘peoples dog’ and just loves to be with us. I have always had male dogs so I can’t judge if girls are more loving! Wonder if it’s because Hugo is from a working strain and thinks hugs are too soppy! Oh well I can always cuddle the cats, oh that’s if he’s not chasing them!

Toby is coming up for two and is more cuddly now than when he was younger. If I sit on the floor or lie on the bed he is stretched out and glued to the side of my leg. Better than any hot water bottle!

When we first got Luna she wasn't very cuddly and when you lifted her for a cuddle or lie next to her she would just want to be on her own.
Now at 18 weeks she still likes to settle on her own but is also a lot more cuddly and enjoys being next to us on the sofa (or lying on me) and will roll onto her back for belly rubs

I love that she is becoming closer to us, I really hope it stays this way as would love her to be cuddly.

Hero always climbs on the other end of our five seater sofa but after a few minutes creeps along till his head is on my lap. He likes his belly stroking and if I stop he gives me a nudge. The funniest thing is when he is in a deep sleep he will nudge me with his nose or a paw comes up almost as though he's checking I haven't moved away. At night he loves to curl up on our bed and cuddle against one of us. Am also hoping he continues to do this. Loving every moment. He's my beautiful.

If we are on the couch, Cooper is on the couch. If we are in bed, Cooper is in bed. She wants to be close, but she did not like sitting on our lap when she was a puppy and still does not. She is an ideal combination (IMHO) because she is fine being left alone, but usually is close to us if we are around. She is not a "Velcro" dog, but is usually in the same room with us if we are home.

I too am wondering if the snuggly trend will continue. Arnie is 5 months now and likes to snuggle in or preferably lay on top of you....which is OK at the moment but when he’s fully grown perhaps not! Our last gorgeous boy dog Jake was not a snuggler really (he’d allow some hugs from us but you could tell he was putting up with it ) but we lived in Miami so it was always hot hot hot and I always thought maybe that was part of it...though he did love to sunbathe and get himself all hot and bothered and then flop onto cool tile floor......now we are in the Netherlands so no probs with the heat!

The last day or two Willow has become very cuddly she even fell asleep in my hubby's arms last night I thought there was something wrong with her.
She was fine in the day running around in the pouring rain having a great time.
I think it's hormones she has had 1 season and is due another in December.
Maybe she is just growing up.
