Hi I had my 14 week old lab on Orijen puppy but he's got diorea which I think is the food. I've to take samples to the vet. Anyways yesterday I went to the local pet shop after I'd talked the previous day to their nutrionalist over phone and decided to buy their own brand of dog food. When I went to the shop I saw the burns dog food and asked what difference there is. Was told burns uses brown rice, where as theirs has white rice. I was also told to buy their adult food as its the same as their puppy food only the adult pieces are bigger. Today I took my pup to the vets and the vet said she'd prefer him to be on a puppy food. So my question. Does the Burns puppy have extra neutients in or is it the same as the food I have? Like the the same only smaller pieces? I'm gonna keep my dog on the store brand food for now but will change to Burns if their puppy food is better. I've looked at the ingredients and both foods are very similar. Thanks for reading all this text.
My pup has Burns puppy food still at 9 months. It has higher protein levels than the adult food , which pups need for growth. You can check their website for details if you need more detail.
I thought it'd be different, thanks. I've only started him on the new food yesterday so will buy Burns today and introduce him slowly over the next five days. Fingers crossed this one is okay for him.
