Need help. My one year old chocolate lab wants to lunge at other dogs and people to play. She pulls like a bull. She will not listen to me once she starts. I can tell her sit, stay, this way, just like if I was not there. Usually she has a halter but in the back yard only her collar to go potty and if the neighbor comes out she pulls so hard, her poor neck, lucky we rarely see the neighbor, any tips? We have taken 12 weeks of lessons, 2 private lessons and now enrolled in a 6 week class. Running out of option. We use a no pull harness.

Hello, your dog is at the teenage stage where they can become quite challenging and all previous behaviour can go out of the window. You are doing the best thing by going to classes. Training around distractions I really believe is the key to having a calm responsive dog outside. Don’t expect results quickly, it takes patience and time to proof changes in behaviour. Could you distract your dog when the neighbour is about. Either get the neighbour to give a chew or you give something interesting to change the focus ?
