Hi everyone, I just joined up today after finding you through a search looking for advice, which I realised was plentiful in these forums. Beau and Bear are chocolate labs, aged just nine months, and live with me and my husband. They're gentle, loving boys, but also can be quite boisterous, especially with each other (they're from the same litter, which we since learned wasn't the easiest way to train two dogs). We're loving the journey so far. Long walks through fields and footpaths twice a day keep us fit too. We are doing okay with the training, but it all comes a bit undone if the boys are distracted by potential new friends - canine or human. Planning to enlist some professional help locally in the new year. Looking forward to learning from everyone here and improving on our ability to ensure the dogs are well behaved and happy!
Hi and welcome, what lovely names. I have a 22 month old choc lab called Isla. I think your very brave taking on two chocolate labs! One has been hard enough. After we got a choc lab, several people we met out walking told us that "brown was the clown"" of lab world and Isla has certainty lived up to that!
