    Hi folks!
Do you think it would be okay to keep two of my male pups from my litter (choc American and English labs)? I also have both the sire and dame. I would of course be getting the dame spayed. We've raised them all and have placed 6 of their siblings. Each have distinct differences taking after their parents seperately. One is very laid back while the other has the personality to field train. Their great/grandparents on fathers side were ameture and national field champions. What are your thoughts on the sibiling syndrome? I appreciate your time. Thank you.

I would never recommend this. I see far too many puppies and dogs with behavioural problems that stem from littermate syndrome. I'm sure people will disagree - and it does SOMETIMES - work out ok - but in my eyes, every puppy really deserves to have all of someone's time and attention and not to have that divided with another puppy - it is really cheating the pups of that at a formative time of their lives, to raise littermates together.
