So many places are becoming dog friendly. We holidayed in Dorset prior to getting Hero and we're amazed at how many pubs, restaurants and places to visit allowed dogs. Since getting him we have observed many more places that have dog friendly signs on the doors or windows. This was so unheard of a few years ago. But the one that has really surprised me today is that some shops, other than pet stores, are now welcoming dogs on leads. I've never known this before and was completely taken aback. Hero and OH were waiting outside (Hero sitting really patiently), while I exchanged something as quick as possible, when the lady in the shop pointed out that dogs are welcome, it's just the owners they sometimes have problems with ha ha. She went and invited them in and Hero was brilliant. He sat straight down and got comfortable. It was a real pleasure to see such a friendly and positive attitude towards our precious pup. Added bonus....other customers didn't object and Hero behaved impeccably.

That's really nice to hear, but probably also a reflection on the effort you have put in to make sure that your dog is well mannered :)
