Hi there, I am new to this forum and am looking for feedback or ideas. My 8 year old yellow girl has developed red marks around her mouth and up the sides of her face. It is strangely symmetrical on both sides up towards her eye area. Our vet initially thought food allergies but we have not changed her food. We have ruled out bacterial via a round of antibiotics and done a scraping and hair analysis for mites and yeast overgrowth, all negative. We are waiting on a fungal culture to rule out ringworm but the vet says it doesn't look like ringworm. Nothing has shown up on the culture and it has been a week. My only thought is we do long walks in the cold (Maine) and she carries her ball a lot, also carries a stick if no ball is around. Maybe a saliva stain from drool? Since it is the same on both sides that makes sense to me. Does anyone have experience or ideas on this? I have tried to think of everything it could be. Thank you!!
