What are people’s thoughts on giving their dogs probiotics? My puppy is 13 weeks old and she has always had loose-ish stools except for the week she was on probiotics and antibiotics from the vet for diarrhoea and her poos firmed up. Her stools are formed but very soft and therefore difficult to pick up, but otherwise she is well and putting on weight. She is fed Wellness Core Large Puppy dry food and I wormed her a couple of days ago. I was just wondering if I can give her probiotics every day to see if they help and if so, does anyone have any recommendations?

same my vet says they are good for dog if they "need them" or not. we have used on and off, mostly when in need - post antibiotic treatment. Been trying to get one of our guys poop to firm up for a couple months...it wouldnt say they have made the difference I had hoped... at this point i we are thinking its some other issue... the food we buy has some in it too. once we are out of the extra probiotics I think we will stop them.
