Hi, My pup is turning 2 in April, she is on her third heat. Laparoscopic spay appears to be the best option albeit the more expensive choice. Does anyone have experience with this procedure?

Yes, I've had dogs spayed using the traditional spay and the lap spay. The lap spay involved just two tiny incisions, no external stitches, almost no pain, dog back to normal 1-2 days later, returning to exercise much sooner because less internally was removed, and generally just WAY better all round - to the point where a traditional spay now seems a bit barbaric to me, given the existence of lap spays...

My dog had the lap spay as well and my experience is the same as Jo Laurens. It is certainly less barbaric.
