My 11-week-old female yellow lab is incontinent when she sleeps, both for short naps and overnight. She was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection and has been through two rounds of antibiotics. Infection is gone, but she is still dribbling urine when she sleeps. At this point, my vet thinks she have ectopic ureters. From what I've read, it is treatable with surgery, but is very expensive and has a very low success rate- around 30%. Does anyone else have experience with ectopic ureters?

Pretty much every vet I’ve worked with will bring up EU when puppies leak. Why? Because it is possible and they have to include it in their medical rule outs. Is it common? No. How to rule it out? Abdominal ultrasound.
