I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for your advice and especially Pippa for setting this forum up. We have now had Charlie for 2 weeks and I feel like the fog is lifting. I was attacked by a dog when I was a child and have spent most of my life very afraid of them. Ten years ago I started a long journey of trying to overcome this and owning my own dog was the ultimate goal. Because of your support and help I have gone from being a complete novice to having an intimate knowledge of Charlie. As I write this he is sleeping at my feet. I feel so in love with him it's ridiculous! He is the most amazing dog ever (we all say that about our own I expect!). You have helped me to undestand his behaviour and we are enjoying learning to communicate with each other and I know every inch of his perfect little body. I am completely unafraid of him and even better yesterday was a breakthrough with my youngest child who fed him a treat and was able to overcome his fear. So a BIG THANK YOU! Keep the advice coming!
Re: Thank you Awww… just keep on with it Emma, he'll enrich your lives in ways you could never have imagined.
Re: Thank you Good on you for your bravery in overcoming your fear. And for helping your kids to do the same. Great to hear that you are so happy with your gorgeous pup.
Re: Thank you Thats lovely Emma Even the more experienced dog owners need a little advice/support/help at times which is why a forum like this is so great , lovely that you are enjoying ownership after the trials and tribulations x
Re: Thank you Oh I did so enjoy reading that, Emma. Got something in my eye now! They are such lovely dogs and very gentle and people oriented - especially as they get grown up.
