Labrador jumping & biting lead on walks.

    Our 15 week old lab constantly jumps up n bites the lead trying to pull it from me on walks ..... I have tried giving him into trouble & tried ignoring it but he still does it , any advice would be appreciated.

    Sometimes leads are just very interesting opportunities to play tug. I would make sure you are playing tug with him daily at other times and with a suitable toy, or he is going to go looking for outlets for his desire to play tug when you least want them. Ensure you are providing enough exercise, training and mental stimulation - daily.

    If you want to break the habit, buy a metal clip lead - dogs don't like to bite metal, so he won't bite this. However, doing this alone without addressing the underlying cause behind the behaviour, is just going to see the same feelings pop up to cause issues elsewhere... so don't just take the quick fix.
