I have recently had a follow up phone consultation with a dermatologist from the specialist centre that Toby goes to for his cancer. He is on an elimination diet and the next stage is to test him by going back to his old diet. In our case latterly that was raw food.
The dermatologist is definitely not against raw feeding and says it is absolutely fine if the food is frozen first and strict defrosting/storage is adhere to. We use Nutriment complete so that is fine.
However he did say that the centre has seen a big increase in cases of raw fed dogs with TB caught by eating raw beef.(10 cases in the last year)
Has anyone else heard of this being a problem?

No, I've never heard of that. Do you need to feed the raw beef chubb though - they make lots of others?

Hi no at the moment he has duck turkey or salmon so not an issue for us. Think he was trying to say if you buy frozen any meat is fine. Would freezing beef get rid of TB? Need to look into that a bit more.

We don't really feed raw beet but the nutriment is a good raw food to go for. We are on duck at the moment for Lucius as he's allergic to beef. Never had an issue with raw food though but we do always make sure it's thoroughly defrosted and we buy it already frozen
