Hi, has anyone had problems with giving lab puppies Drontal? I've used the syrup twice when he was younger and he was like a demon dog. Constantly barking, jumping up, trying to bite us, running around literally bouncing off the furniture. We had no idea the first time that this would happen. The second time, we knew what had caused the behaviour. It lasted all day and wore us all out. Drontal is a good quality, trusted wormer which I used with my other lab regularly. I gave this puppy a tablet this time instead of the syrup as he is now 7 months old and have had the same reaction. Anyone else had the same trouble?
Hi Charley bear, welcome to the forum Try putting "drontal" into the search bar at the top right of the page - you'll find that you're far from alone! I think there's a fair bit of chat about the successes and failures people have had with alternative wormers too. It's certainly worth asking your vet which other products you could try.
