Hello everyone, hoping someone can reassure me

I have two labradors, very active, bouncey little beasts usually. However, the youngest is having TPLO surgery next week and will need to be kept immobile for the first couple of weeks.
If you have been through thus, with more than one dog, how did it go?
I am finding it quite difficult at the moment, trying to sneak older dog out for walks, as youngest just cries at the front door when we leave her behind.
I dont want to use a crate. Dont have one and dont really want to buy one. So thought if she wears her harness, she can sit with us as we can hold her lead, or secure it so she can stand up and turn around, but not walk anywhere.
    Does that sound feasible?
    Any advice welcome

Hi, I'm guessing your dog has had her surgery by now? Our lab just had her TPLO on Friday. Hope your pup is recovering well.
