We always talk about Hip and Elbow scores, but I wondered if there are any ways of checking or scoring ACL issues with dogs. I have actually known more dogs with ruptured ACLs than with serious Hip or Elbow issues. I suspect there is no way to test for susceptibility to ACL injuries, but it would be good to know. FWIW both dogs with ACL injuries were Sammies. One with both ACLs and one with only one. I don't believe they were from the same line.
