Hi all, Hope you’re all doing well with your wonderful dogs. Lulu is continuing to come along, she weighs 13 kilos (28lbs) now, we’ve switched her over to raw. We have kept up with the training and it’s mostly great apart from recall when she spots another dog in the park. She is not jumping up as much at others on our walks and that’s been through constant rewarding when she keeps all four legs on the ground. She is amazing around the house and with the kids. She is happy to follow us around and we feel comfortable letting her roam now as she doesn’t touch anything she isn’t supposed to. She had a two day period where she wanted to chew the wall and that was replaced with rabbit ears. Since the day we have had her, we’ve consistently been training her 3 times a day around meal times in 5 ish min bursts plus walks and I like to think it’s paid off. We will continue to do so. One of the best pieces of advice I came across here is that a well stimulated and exercised dog makes a calm dog which is what we’ve generally found. As restrictions have eased and our circle of friends are happy with dogs, she comes with us, we bring a chew and she settles. I also feel that being off work the past few months has helped as it’s allowed us to focus on her development. We also socialise her with our friends dogs. We’ve put more thought into her than the kids She is a wonderful dog and we feel lucky to have her as we learn off her likewise. She’s also turning out the way she currently down to all the reading on these forums and everyone that has ever posted on here. Wishing you all a wonderful day.
