Do I use a padded head collar or a normal one on my 3 year old lab?

    Hi,
I have a 3 year old lab who usually walks very well on lead, when we're somewhere new, however, she gets excited and pulls a lot. Because I do a lot of hill walking I was looking into buying a headcollar to make it easier to control her when I'm going down steep bits. My question is do I need a padded headcollar or will a normal one be fine. She won't be wearing it very often and I don't want to spend too much money on something unnecessary.

    Thanks ❤️

I also do a lot of hillwalking, and find the best set up for me is a Halti harness which stops him pulling and a 10 metre training lead so he has a bit of freedom his recall is perfect but you never know what's round some corners.
