Hi all, new to the forum and this is my first post- unfortunately it’s not a fun one!

Our little Buddy was in a lot of pain last weekend. He started lifting his front left and back right legs in pain, which then moved onto almost zero movement- just lying in his bed crying. The pain killers and antibiotics have obviously worked as he’s much better now but not completely normal.

We’ve been to see the vet, who decided to put Buddy on a weeks course of antibiotics. He’s had bloods taken and X-rays done which have all come back as clear- although he’s still showing some signs of pain (lifting his paw occasionally). He doesn’t seem to be in pain, but last weekend it was severe. Our vet has suggested a CT scan if the limpness and pain resumes next week.

Probably a long shot, but has anybody else experienced anything like this? Buddy is 5 months old, playful and healthy; something just happened to him last week and nobody seems to know what!

    Thanks!

Hi Bradley, welcome to the forum :)

I'm sorry to hear that Buddy has been so unwell. I don't have any experience to share, but I hope that Buddy makes a full recovery!

    Did your vet discuss panosteitis?

No- he didn’t. But I’ve just had a read online about it and it sounds like exactly what Buddy had!
