I know I have seen threads of puppies ears no longer being floppy, this happened to mine when he turned 3 months, they gradually started popping out the sides and fold down the middle, I have before and after photos, of when he was two months versus now, I just want to know if this has happened to any of their labs and if they will eventually return to normal?

Before (first pic) vs. Now (the rest of the pics)

My lab’s ears have done the same thing. As a young puppy, her ears hung down like a full-blooded lab. Now, she pulls them back most of the time, but they still flop if she relaxes.

Our dog was a rescue, so I new she wasn’t a purebred, although her and all of her litter mates looked like lab puppies. We had a genetic test done a few months ago, and her DNA is 50% Lab with the rest a mix of American Stafford Terrier, Rottweiler and shepherd. I suspect your dog has some terrier in her because many of them pull their ears back.

vezkana, this happened to my pup as well, it seems that it's nothing to worry about. from what I've read, around the time they start changing their puppy teeth their head also starts to grow and that's why the ears will change position. But they'll go back down eventually. My 4-month lab still lifts them all the way up sometimes.

My puppy ears are also not looking floppy anymore. In the until 13 weeks old it was looking right, but then ended up being folded and on the side. Some say it will pass after the teething phase.

Can any of you provide an update on your puppies ears? Once teething passed did the ears go back to typical lab ears?
