What’s the best way to clean a dog when you aren’t able to give it a bath? My dog is VERY scared of everything. She cowers in the corner shaking and won’t move. She is quite dirty and smelly but I don’t want to traumatize her by trying to give a bath right away. Is there a way I can clean her without scaring her?
Brushing goes a long way, getting dried mud etc. out of fur. Most folks don't think Labs smell much unless they have been in something smelly. We keep a supply of old "dog" towels handy to dry off our dogs and wipe off some of the mud when they come in wet or muddy.
