Hi, we are able to take Murphy out this weekend and are unsure when is the best time, before or after food as there are conflicting ideas on the internet. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

I would take him before his lunchtime. Take his lunch with you and give him a few bits for each recall or when you need to distract him. At 12 weeks, he doesn't need a walk as such, he just needs experiences so take him somewhere and sit with him to watch the world go by. I try to take a puppy on a different 'adventure' each day, eg outside a school at playtime, to the woods, to a train station, to the market square, to a stream etc. It's easy at 12 weeks because you can carry them to where you want to go so you can focus on your heelwork at home, without messing up your training by going for walks.
